YES TO ALL OF THIS!One of the biggest misconceptions about burnout is that you simply need more rest.
Yet I've known people who have taken the holidays, slept more, bought the supplements, tried the self-care practices and still felt exhausted.
In many ways, I was one of those people.
When I was a hairdresser back in 2014, I was burnt out. At the time, I didn't have the language for it though I just knew I was exhausted.
I struggled with anxiety, digestive issues, migraines, recurrent tonsillitis, fatigue and a nervous system that felt like it was constantly "on."
Like many people, I thought I just needed to find the right supplement or hack and get some extra sleep. Which made my recovery process so much longer than it needed to be.
Though over the past 12 years of rebuilding my own health and capacity as well as helping hundreds of clients, I've learnt so much about health, wellbeing, stress, nervous system regulation, energy healing and what it actually takes to support the body.
